No Railway & Underground Services on Thursday

There will be no railway services in Greece on Thursday after OSE (Hellenic Railways Organization) announced a 24-hour strike. OSE employees are protesting the plan to have the Organization restructured. There will be no underground services either.
The announced 24-hour strike of the Greek railway workers will affect the movement of international trains between Bulgaria and Greece. The international train “Romania” /June 9/ from Bucharest to Thessaloniki /via Sofia/ will travel only to Sofia. Tomorrow morning /June 10/ the same train will travel back from Sofia to Bucharest, instead of its usual starting station – Thessaloniki. The Bulgarian customers, using the line to reach certain points of its route on Bulgarian territory will be able to take advantage of an extraordinary return train between Sofia and Kulata.
Today’s trains to Athens will only travel to Thessaloniki and will return on Friday /June 11/. Tomorrow’s international trains will not travel to Greece and all customers will receive their money back
