George Papandreou Wants to Reform the Government Scene

The Prime Minister is about to make changes in the Government scene, once now the ‘Insurance Bill’ is voted, and thus closing all the open fronts which exist today in the Ministerial Council and the parliamentary group.
Mr. Papandreou rejected any suggestions made by his MP’s and advisors to reshuffle until now. But it seems that, after the public bickering of his Ministers who are not ready to calm down plus the underground backstabbing within the party have turned his head.
He is considering preceding certain corrective changes, by removing those who have demonstrated that are not able to coordinate with the calls for a rapid changes in Government projects.
However, as noted by his close associates, this would be a political suicide before the adoption of the new insurance bill.
It seems that G. Papandreou is bringing up the possibility of government restructuring for one more reason – in July he will have to decide who of his party members will take over the 13 regions that were formed under the Kallikratis Bill.
However try’s to predict witch Ministers will be overwritten and who their successors will be should doodle check their sources. G. Papandreou, has not yet reached to a permanent decision.
In addition, the Ministers indicated by all others as the ‘ weak link ‘ in the Government chain of fortuitous are close friends and personal choices of his. If they now take a stand it shall not be without a political cost.
