Deputy Foreign Minister Spyros Kouvelis met this morning with a group of Greek-American students who are in Greece within the framework of the National Hellenic Society’s “The Greek Cultural Experience” programme..
This meeting is part of a broader programme to help them get to know modern Greece and personalities from the field of politics and culture. The meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister was the first such meeting of students with an official from the current government.
Mr. Kouvelis stressed the importance of similar visits, as they are a vital element in further strengthening the bonds of diaspora – particularly 3rd and 4th generation – Greeks with Greece.
