Public deficit reduced!

According to the new information given by the Bank of Greece the budget deficit during the first semester of the year 2010 is reduced significantly, by 41,8 %. The increase of the incomings together with the cutback on expenses resulted in that spectacular reduction. The Bank of Greece underlined that the cash deficit of the Central Government is now reduced to 11,450 million euros against 19,685 million during the same period in year 2009. This semester the incomings of the regular budget are increased to 23,203 million euros against 21,470 million last year, while the expenses are reduced to 30,145 million against 35,578 the previous year.
