Over 16,000 companies in Greece have seized their activity since the beginning of the year and thousands of middle companies are at the brink of bankruptcy, Greek Ta Nea writes today.
Prognoses are that by the end of the year about 60,000 companies will go bankrupt and over 110,000 people will loose their job. One of the biggest problems on the market is dramatic downturn in the consumption and the lack of liquidity, which resulted in lower turnover by 5 to 25% of the companies in the field of clothing and shoes.
