Milan Chasing Greek Defender

Rumors and speculation continue to pour in over the future of AC Milan.
ESPNSoccernet is reporting that the Rossoneri are currently set to begin talks with Genoa defender and Greek international Sokratis Papastathopoulos (photo). Papastathopoulos made 30 appearances for Genoa this past season and performed well for Greece in two starts at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Papastathopoulos, 22, is reportedly flying to Milan from Greece to meet with Adriano Galliani.
“The negotiations for Sokratis are ongoing, but they have not been completed yet,” Galliani said. “We will see what happens as we are still negotiating.”
Reports have also heated up in recent days about a possible move for Lukas Podolski. Both moves could depend on the futures of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Gennaro Gattuso, whom have been rumored to be wanted by several clubs.
