President Gabritsos announced yesterday his unexpected resignation for personal reasons in front of ERT’s Board of Directors. He had already handed in his resignation to The Minister of Culture and Tourism P.Geroulanos on July the 15th and it was accepted. Although the reasons for his resignation were not revealed, government sources claim that it was an argument between the two men that pushed him to that decision. Minister Geroulanos immediately after the meeting, published a letter in which he thanked Mr. Gabritsos for his offer and for the effort he made to reform ERT, while he underlined that the source savings of 30 million euros is a striking example of his work. He worked as President and managing director of ERT for just six months. His post will be announced again shortly at: www.opengov.gr.
