Over the weekend firefighters fought several wildfires all over Greece. Last night the firefighters were trying to gain control on the third and final front of a blaze on Kythera island. The fire had been blazing in Aghia Moni.
There was also a fire in the Lagopodo area of Zante, which firefighters were still battling yesterday afternoon. Fires in Parga and Ierapetra have been succesfully distinguished. Fortunately the fires were not a threat to populated areas.
