The topic of discussion was on the trade markets proposal.  The truckers have sustained their strike for seven days in order for the market to obtain a breath of air and thus address the serious supply issues. Currently the truck owners are parked around ports and national roads.
The business world has requested the intervention of the Ministries of Region, Development and Labour in order to act as guarantors of the government’s promises towards the truck owners.  The truckers demands concern tax, insurance and the integration of road transportation.
“We decided to not sit back and wait for the proceedings, if and when they arise, leading us to our economic end. Nor will we continue to give other appeals, unacknowledged. Our patience has found its end thus definitively abandon the waiting and tolerating position, agreeing to take initiatives in order to get out of this dead end. It is everyones duty to stop the suffering, self-destruction and liberate the market and the streets”, said the Chairman of the National Confederation of Greek Trade, B. Korkidis.
The Sunday meeting of traders and carriers was unsuccessful.  It was held by an initiative from the National Confederation of Commerce.
