Greece at the Top: Beat Israel 2-1 in thriller (video)

Greece secured their second consecutive win in Group F, beating Israel 2-1 in an exciting game at the Karaiskaki Stadium on Tuesday night and thereby boosting their chances of making it to Euro 2012.
A cool penalty from captain Giorgos Karagounis in the second half gave Greece the three points after the visitors had canceled out Dimitris Salpigidis’s opener.
The win sends Greece top of the group on eight points after four games, although they have played a game more than group favorites Croatia who face Malta next.
Fernando Santos made two changes to the side that beat Latvia 1-0 on Friday. Nikos Spyropoulos came in for Giorgos Tzavelas, Dimitris Salpigidis spearheaded the attack instead of Kosats Mitroglou and Pantelis Kafes started his first Greece game for eight years instead of Alexandros Tziolis.
