Parcel Bombs Mailed to Parliament, Embassies in Athens + French President

Greek police say they have detonated a suspicious package in a mail delivery van outside the Parliament in Athens
Another minor explosion occurred on Tuesday outside the Swedish embassy in Athens. Police were investigating whether the explosion was linked with a spate of parcel bombs intercepted by Greek authorities on Monday.
Earlier, a suspicious envelope was spotted at the Bulgarian embassy in the Neo Psychico suburb of Athens by embassy employees, who immediately alerted police.
According to initial information, the envelope reached the embassy by postal mail but has not yet been clarified who the sender and specific recipient are.
A police counter-terrorism squad unit and bomb disposal experts are currently at the embassy examining the parcel.
Three parcel bombs were intercepted by Greek authorities on Monday.  A third exploded in the hands of a courier company employee causing minor injuries.  Two suspects were arrested.
One of the three parcel bombs intercepted by Greek authorities on Monday had been destined for the president of France Nicolas Sarkozy, the Greek Police counter-terrorism squad revealed.
Meanwhile a police crime lab ballistics investigation of the two Glock pistols was completed on Tuesday morning.  The investigation concluded that neither of the weapons had been used in attacks by the terror group “Revolutionaries’ Sect”.  The investigation is continuing to see whether they have been used in other terrorist actions or in incidents of common crime.
The 22-year-old detainee will be taken before a public prosecutor in the early afternoon with regard to the outstanding arrest warrant for him. Both detainees will appear before a prosecutor later with respect to the parcel bombs.
