The manager of an Alpha Bank branch in Orestiada lost his life during an armed robbery. The robber entered the branch in the centre of the northern town and threatened the employees and customers at gun point. He took a sack full of banknotes.
The manager followed him to the exit and cried for help. The robber shot him three times and injured him in the abdomen.
Police officers chased the robber and managed to arrest him. However it was too late for the manager who died of complications later at the hospital.
