EU Monetary Affair Chief Rehn Considers Extending Greek Loans

European officials say they are considering giving Greece more time to pay back its 110 euro billion emergency loan package.
EU Monetary Affairs Chief Olli Rehn said on Sunday that Finance Ministers have agreed to look into extending the deadline for Greece to repay its loans up to 7.5 years from 3 years.
That would bring Greece’s loan package in line with one agreed Sunday for Ireland.
Rehn stated: “the commission has been advocating this alignment.”
