Unyielding in their demands, inmates of the Greek jail Nea Alicarnassos are continuing their hunger strike. The strike started three days ago. The authority for inmate coordination has demanded that Justice Minister Haris Kastanidis deal urgently with the chronic problems seen in the Greek incarceration system. According to inmates, the major problems are overcrowding and hygienic conditions.
