Greek-Turkish Business Forum Held Today in Thessaloniki

The first Regional Greek-Turkish Business Forum meeting opens today in the Greek city of Thessaloniki.
Speaking to the Anatolia News Agency, Mustafa Yardimci Member of the Executive Board of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), said that the co-organizers of the Business Forum were the Greek-Turkish Chamber of Commerce of Northern Greece, Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey, and Turkish-Greek Business Council. Fifty businesspeople from Thrace will attend the meeting, Yardimci said.  Jannos Apikyan, the head of Greek-Turkish Chamber of Commerce of Northern Greece; Ioannis Papantoniou, a former Minister for National Economy and Finance of Greece; Turkish-Greek Business Council’s Chairman Selim Egeli; and Thessaloniki Mayor Yiannis Boutaris will deliver speeches in the forum. Participants are expected to discuss ways to boost commercial and economic cooperation, political developments in Turkey and Greece, entrepreneurship, cooperation between Thrace and Northern Greece, and investment opportunities.
