Ruling PASOK Preveza Deputy Evangelos Papachristos was expelled from the party’s Parliamentary Group. His dismissal followed his decision to vote against the omnibus bill on urgent measures for the implementation of the Greek economy’s support programme.
Shortly after the conclusion of the roll call vote, Parliament President Filippos Petsalnikos read a letter by Prime Minister and PASOK President George Papandreou that stated: “Deputy Evangelos Papachristos is expelled from PASOK’s Parliamentary Group.”
