The anti-terrorist unit seems to be close to discovering another terrorist headquarters, after making four arrests that seem to be connected to the “Pirines tis Fotias” (Cores of Fire) organization. The four arrestees have been on the wanted list for some time and seem to be directly linked to the new terrorist group.
The gigantic police operation took place simultaneously in three different areas. The areas were Exarhia, Pangrati and Tavros in Athens. Valid sources report that new arrests will be made shortly. The police are looking for weapons and explosives used in previous terrorist attacks and other materials that the group’s members might have for future attacks.
The arrests made today took place under extreme time constraints. The terrorist group had declared that they would attack near their trial date which is swiftly approaching.
