"Greece not in Talks to Extend Repayment of its Entire Debt"

A Finance Ministry official noted on Tuesday that Greece is not in talks to lengthen the repayment of its entire outstanding debt, according to Reuters.
“The government has a very specific agenda … there is preliminary agreement to extend repayment of Greece΄s European Union/International Monetary Fund bailout loans and that’s it,” the official said.
“There is nothing else being discussed, nothing more on extending repayment of all outstanding debt,” the official told Reuters.
The official, who requested anonymity, was responding to comments by Deputy Prime Minister Theodoros Pangalos.  Pangalos said late on Monday that he believed Greece could be helped out of its debt crisis by extending repayment of all outstanding debt but without any haircuts.
