A book entitled ”Greek Holocausts — 1940-45”, chronicles the massacres committed by Axis occupation forces in 90 towns and villages across Greece. It was unveiled by the recently formed Network of Martyr Cities and Villages of Greece During WWII. As ANA reports, the 414-page book (Livanis Publishing House) includes detailed evidence on the reprisals unleashed by the German, Italian and Bulgarian occupation forces against civilian populations. Notes signed by the mayors or local community presidents of each city or village mentioned pay tribute to the victims of the massacres and demand compensation for the losses.
