Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou sent a message of condolences to his Japanese counterpart Naoto Kan Saturday, expressing the deep sorrow of Greek peoples for the devastating earthquake and tsunami which hit Japan.
“Having suffered in the past from similar natural disasters, Greece fully understands the pain of Japanese people and the efforts needed to overcome such a blow,”said Papandreou.
The Greek premier expressed the solidarity of the Greek government and peoples for the loss of so many lives and the suffering of survivors.
