Parliament President Philippos Petsalnikos will meet His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on Monday, June 27th, at 10.45 in Parliament. Shortly after at 11.00 am, a special event with the Global Youth Summit where 250 young people aged from 12 to 17, coming from Greece and abroad, will be held at the sittings of the Plenum of Parliament.
Prime Minister George Papandreou, Parliament President P. Petsalnikos, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Solidarity H. Aidonis, President of Special Olympics Hellas C.Despotopoulou, President of the International Special Olympics Committee T. Shriver and two members of the Global Youth Summit will talk at the event organised in the framework of the World Summer Games Special Olympics 2011, which will be held in Athens from June 25th to July 4th.
Leaders of parties in the Parliament, former Presidents of the Republic, former Prime Ministers, former Parliamentary Presidents, the President of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge, Prefect of Attica Ioannis Sgouros, Mayor of Athens George Kaminis, President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee Spyros Capralos, President of the Hellenic National Committee for UNICEF Lambros Kanellopoulos, Representative of the President of European Commission, Ministers of foreign states and other officials from Greece and abroad have also been invited in the event.
