Korean & Greek Writers Meet on July 12th, Athens

Greek and Korean writers will have the opportunity to exchange views and create opportunities for cooperation, in a meeting, held on July 12th in Athens.  It marks 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Greece and Korea.

The meeting was organized on the initiative of the Korean Society for Creative Writing, in cooperation with the Organization for the Promotion of the Greek Language (ODEG). The event, sponsored by the Korean Embassy in Greece, is also supported by the British Hellenic College and the National Book Centre.
The Korean Society for Creative Writing organizes every year an International Literature Meeting with the aim of presenting the literary production of its members and promoting their meeting with writers of other countries. The Athens meeting, which will take place in “Daedalus” at the British Hellenic College, from 9 am to 6 pm. Fourteen Koreans, a Bulgarian woman and seven Greek writers will talk about their work. The Bureau of the Writers’ Association of Korea will also attend the meeting.
