Educated people and scientists at Harvard established a new institution of “International Awards for Greek Culture”. This award will be given every year regarding three categories: George Seferis Chair in Poetry of Harvard, Modern Greek Literature and in Critical Essay based on Scientific Studies.
These awards are international and refer to every writer writing in Greek. The jury consists of former Nobel –prize winners, professors from Harvard, Yale, Cambridge, Oxford and other significant universities in the world. For the 2011 Awards, the submission deadline is September 30th. The commendation is planned the following December at the Athens Concert Hall by President Papoulias.
