The Corfu Art Festival organized by the recently established “Centre of Heptanisian Culture”, opened with a harp recital by the artist Anneene Lenaerch. The festival will last until July 11th and includes three concerts and a theatrical play.
On Saturday, July 9th the quartet “Arriaga Quartet” presents at Achillion Palace, a piano recital with Sonja Park. On July 10th at The Ionian Academy the “Vienna Chamber Orchestra” will give a concert with pieces by Mahler. Finally on July 11th, the theatrical play “Ploutos” by Aristofanes will be presented at Mon Repo, at the theatre “Rena Vlachopoulou”, by Vice Versa. Vice Versa is a group of immigrant artists who stage plays all around Greece.
The goal of the Centre of Heptanisian Culture is to organize events all year, to promote culture and tourism.
