Rumours say that Eurobank is close to a merger with The National Bank of Greece.
According to Axia newspaper, the merger is very close to happening. The aim is to create a new bank club, which will be able to cover its needs and demands of the market. After the merger, new financial lending resources would be possible, apart from the ECB.
Such a movemnet will help the nation present a stronger face to EU members.
