The President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias will make an official 3 day visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority that will last until Tuesday, July 12th.
Mr. Papoulias will visit the president of Israel Shimon Peres and the President of The Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas, the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos, the prime minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahou, the president of the Israeli House of Representatives Reuven Rivlin, the minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman and the Head of the Opposition Tzipi Livni.
He will also visit the Holocaust Museum and take part in a tree planting event in the Forest of Nations. He will talk with Greek survivors of the Holocaust and while in Ramallah, he will lay a wreath at the Yasser Arafat Memorial and meet representatives of the Greek Women Union of Palestine.
Finally, he will talk at the Greek-Israeli Business Forum on Investments and Trade.
Mr. Papoulias is accompanied by the Greek Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Culture and the Undersecretary of Environment who updated him last week about the progress of Greece’s cooperation with Israel in the energy sector.
