Taxi Driver Murders 19-Year-Old Passenger, Zakynthos

A 19-year-old British holidaymaker was killed while four of his compatriots were seriously injured after being attacked by two Greek taxi drivers in Laganas, Zakynthos. As stated by one of the offenders, ”I was annoyed because the young British tourists bothered us with lasers”.
Shortly afterwards the offender took a knife that was inside the taxi and stabbed the 19-year-old boy, Robert Jane Sevaz. The boy was fatally wounded in the heart, while his friends received wounds in their abdomens, backs and all over their bodies.
Immediately after the bloody brawl, the offender along with his friend disappeared and threw the knife into the sea. According to recent information from the police, the incident happened outside a fast food restaurant on the main road of Laganas at 3:05 in the morning.
Three hours later, at 6.30 am, police arrested the 21-year-old taxi driver in his house and later on, his friend as an accomplice, who had watched everything happen without making any effort to stop his friend. They both vanished immediately after the violent attack.
Early on July 13th, divers swam into the sea at the point indicated by the offender and found the knife. The four British wounded boys are under treatment at the General State Hospital of Zakynthos.
