French Meat with E-Coli Bacteria Imported to Macedonia, Greece


 

No infected patient by E. Coli has been found until now.

The Periphery of Central Macedonia announced that 174 kg. of French meat were imported within June. The meat was contaminated by the bacteria E. Coli. However, no patients have been found to be infected.

On July 12th, French authorities announced that a part of infected meat, found in Belgium was transferred to Greece as well.

The Greek authorities noted that 42,8 kg. of French meat found contaminated was destroyed, according to sanitary regulations.

The amount of 174 kg. that was imported on June 16th, was given to the market and consumed by June 20th, because no indications of E.Coli bacteria were detected.
