Volunteer Bikers Cross Salonica to Evros for European Youth Capital 2014 Title

Thessaloniki aspires to conquer the title of the European Youth Capital 2014. As a result, many activities have been organized in the framework of this program. On July 26-27, volunteers bikers are planning to cross the area from Salonica to Evros.

The ‘European Youth Capital’ (EYC) is an initiative of the European Youth Forum, the largest platform of non-governmental youth organizations in Europe, in cooperation with the European Commission. The title is awarded to a European city for the period of one year.

The city of Thessaloniki is a youthful city. It has nearly 150,000 students and young people are 50% of the population.

Many volunteers bikers support this initiation with their participation in biking from Thessaloniki to Evros. They will travel through Drama, Kavala, Xanthi, Komotini, Alexanfroupoli, Orestiada and they will end at the festival in Arda.
