Earth Festival 2011 Opens, Kozani

The famous “Earth Festival” opened on July 14th in the region Vlasti of Kozani. It is a multicultural festival which has been organized for 11 years. This year there will be concerts with Greek and Balkan artists, events for children and discussions, seminars, exhibitions of art and photography, biological products market and presentations by environmental organizations.
On July 15th, the bands Romengo from Hungary and Kottarashky Band from Bulgaria gave a concert, while on July 16th at 9.30 Chainides and KAL from Belgrade will sing. The daily ticket for the entrance into the festival costs 10 euro, the 2 day ticket 18 euro and the 4 day ticket 30 euro. Earth Festival is organized by the Municipality of Eordaia and the local community of Vlasti with the support of Ecotopia, a non-governmental organization for environmental research and awareness.
