Belgian Bicyclist's Bike Stolen in Chania while Touring Europe

The bicycle of 61-year-old Belgian, Christian Van Limbergen, who has been traveling around Europe in order to enter the Guinness Book of World Records, has been stolen while he was at the Venetian port of Chania. The thieves also stole stamps, signatures and documents from more than 30.000 municipalities, regions and local authorities around Europe, which were evidence of his jouney.
Limbergen, started his trip in 1989, when there was still a USSR and is obviously very distressed. He stated, “By stealing my notes they stole my life” and asks the thieves, “to keep his clothes, his bicycle and his sleeping bag, but to return his notes to him at least.”
