Anti-systemic Tree Produces Variation of Vegetables, Rethymnon

The cultivator of a unique tree is Manolis Iliakis, who despite being a trained civil engineer, loves gardening in his free time. Mr. Iliakis presented with pride a few days ago, the results of his perfect cooperation with nature. His imagination worked well, and now we can enjoy this anti-systemic tree, which he cultivated with passion. The tree produces tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, wild amaranth as well as potatoes. As he said, this tree was a challenge for him, as he wanted to prove to agriculturists who didn’t believe in him, that his efforts were finally successful.
In his effort to explain how he managed to reach this result, he also mentioned that: “I did not want anyone to say that this tree consists a violation of nature, or any kind of mutation… This tree is solanoid and is compatible with the families who have been grafted on it, like we graft a wild pear tree or an olive tree etc., with several other varieties. The same happens with the antisystemic tree. I wanted to try out something that was beyond man’s imagination.”
Mr. Iliakis has also grafted a fig tree which produces different kinds of figs.
