Finland Requests Parthenon and Greek Islands as Guarantee

An incredible discovery made by the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, that Finland gave the “green light” for the new rescue package for Greece, however as reported in a related story, the Finns requested the Parthenon and Greek islands as guarantee.
The Italian newspaper reported that diplomatic sources, who were in negotiations, stated the conditions for new loans in Greece called for guarantees of state property. They estimated the value of the Acropolis and Greek islands to be worth 300 billion euro.
The newspaper, however, wonders whether if Greece declares bankruptcy and the Parthenon is sold, will the money be transferred to Helsinki, Finland’s capital.
