4.7 Richter Earthquake in Patras

After the earthequake in Halkidiki, another earthquake, this time 4.7 on the Richter scale, took place in Patras at 17:35 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake was determined at 1 km west of Nafpaktos and the focal depth was only at 5 km.
According to information given from the city of Patras,  in the area of Rio  many swimmers ran away from loungers and tables in a state of panic.  In some buildings, including one at the National Road of Patras-Korinthos, plaster fell.
