One person was killed and three injured in a collision between a private car and a KTEL intercity bus early on Sunday morning, at the 9th kilometre of the Alexandroupolis-Orestiada highway in the northern Greek prefecture of Evros.
The 26-year-old driver of the car was killed while the bus overturned as a result of the impact and 15 of its 36 passengers were taken to Alexandroupolis hospital with minor injuries.
Three of the injured passengers were kept in the hospital for observation.
An inquiry into the causes of the accident is being carried out by the Alexandroupolis traffic police.
