The new Foreign Minister of the Cypriot Democracy, Erato Kozakou-Markoulli, will visit Athens on Thursday, following her recent move from the Ministry of Communications and Works to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the official announcement, the Foreign Minister will hold talks with her counterpart Stavros Lamprinidis, who will be discussing the latest developments concerning direct negotiations for a settlement of the Cypriot issue.
Markoulli will also discuss issues such as the accession progress of Turkey in the EU, the new support package for the Greek economy, and current developments in the Middle East, as well as the preparation of Cyprus in order to take over the Presidency of the EU in the second half of 2012.
