A large fire is currently burning down the forested area of Polidendri, Attica.
According to the Fire Department’s announcement, the fire is now under control. 30 firemen with 10 fire vehicles and 1 E/P are at the scene.
Another fire has broken out in the forests of Drosia, Loutraki, in Korinthos. 25 firemen have rushed with 11 vehicles, 2 groups of hikers and 1 E/P, to control the the fire.
The volume of the fire and strong winds have been making the attempt of the firemen more difficult.
Fires broken out yesterday afternoon in southwestern coast of Corfu, in a distance of 25 km, are now partially in control.
