It is very possible that the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Demetris Christofias and the members of his office will be invited to testify regarding the July 11th tragedy at the Cyprus Naval Base.
The lawyer Polyvios Polyviou has been appointed as the chief investigator on the case. Polyviou said that Mr. Christofias informed him he will be available for questioning regarding this issue.
In addition, Mr. Polyviou claimed that some of the documents he holds have many peculiarities but could not be sure yet if the documents have been falsified.
Finally, he said that the open hearings will begin on August 29 and that he will deliver his conclusion to the Cypriot Cabinet on September 30.
