''I Don't Pay'' Movement Goes to the Beach

The Greek ”I don’t pay” movement has left the tolls for the time being and gone…to the beach.

On August 11th, a group of people made their appearance very clear in the seaside town of Porto Rafti, where they occupied the ticket offices and allowed everyone to enjoy their swim for free.

The philosophy of the  movement  is that all social goods should be open and available to everyone for free so that the majority of the people can enjoy them.

There is no end in sight for this type of action, and its highlight will be a gathering in Thessaloniki at the 76th Fair Trade. All members of the movement are planning to travel by bus to the city. On their way to Salonika, they will allow everyone to travel for free, without paying the tolls.
