Turks Have Big Investment Plans for Greece

According to an article in the Greek newspaper “Kathimerini”, Turkish companies are planning to spend more than 1 billion dollars on investments in the Balkans, particularly in Greece and Romania.
Turks are interested mainly in the sectors of tourism, sea transports and alimentation, as well as telecommunications, real estate, construction, and energy. The fuel company Turkoil has already entered into the market in Bosnia.
Turkish companies are also interested in making investments in the Occupied Territories of Cyprus with assurances that they have only economic, not political, motives.
According to the Turkish newspaper Vatan, the football team Galatasaray also intends to build a hotel and sport installations in Cyprus, where teams from all over the world will be able train.
