Greek Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos didn’t rule out the possibility of deeper recession and new measures.
Recession could be deeper, reaching 4.5%, Venizelos told Skai broadcast.
Asked about the possibility of new measures, he said that the recent package includes measures beyond what is necessary. However, he did not rule out the possibility of further measures if required, stating that they would not burden the economically weaker social groups.
Venizelos, also Deputy Prime Minister, defended the Greek-Finnish agreement and said that the process of implementing the last EU Summit΄s decisions would take European governments until the first or second week of October.
