According to article in the Greek newspaper “Nafteboriki”, the Prime Minister announced that he will attend the Thessaloniki International Fair on September 10 and 11 and will give a speech as usual, in spite of rumors that he would not appear this year.
His presence will be “simple and substantial”, and he will be accompanied by government officials related to economy. Mr. Papandreou wants to send the message that Greece is dealing with her interior problems. He also wants to assure the public of political stability and to prove certain thoughts regarding snap elections unsupported.
In addition, he will announce the future government policy regarding economic growth. He will refer to the changes and reforms that should have been imposed many years ago. Finally, he will speak about the role and future of Greece in an unstable international world.
