A 55-year-old pensioner was accused of sexual harassment of minor boys via the internet. A file was claimed against him by the Safety Department of Thessaloniki.
As police stated, a father complained that his minor son had received lewd proposals from a web users through social networking sites.
Police officers of the Cyber Crime Department identified the electronic traces of the 55 year-old man and identified him in Eastern Thessaloniki.
It was found that, last year, the man had made lewd proposals to more than 12 boys through the website. The file will be forwarded to be prosecuted, while the Safety Department of Thessaloniki continues investigations.
Another man was arrested by police officers of Cyber Crime Department and three more in Northern Greece and Thessaly for handling child pornographic material via the Internet. As announced by the police, offenders were identified in Volos, Larissa and Naoussa.
The case came to light when on the social networking site Facebook, police found a profile of a Greek user who was using a nickname, in which had been posted many pictures of half-naked and naked minor children, even below 4 years.
