Greek Universities Send Away Top Students

According to newsbeast.gr, the economic crisis influenced the choices of the students as for example in Crete most of the candidates chose to be enrolled in Universities or Technical Educational Institutes of their region.
However, one of the top students of the Pan-Hellenic Exams for admission in the Higher Education which took place this year has decided to leave abroad, according to article of the newspaper “Adesmeftos Typos”.
The 18 year old Nikolaos Perakis managed to pass in one of the most popular departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Polytechnic School of Athens. Although he was extremely happy, he decided to study and live permanently in Germany where he passed in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Munich. As he claims, he will be able to finish his studies in 4 years without worrying about lack of organization or takeovers of the universities and he will not have to deal with the Greek economic crisis and wire-pulling practices, when he will look for a job.
