The broadcast of the game Greece versus Israel got canceled by the Mega Channel due to GP rates. The game was due to be shown at 12 am, but Mega Channel strongly disagreed with the noon time. Many objections and alternative solutions were made on behalf of the Greek channel but as it was foreseen nothing changed as Croatia opposed to this option. The TV station announced that transmission at this time would cost them, almost half million euros.
Normally, Champions League games are broadcasted in the evening but due to a national celebration of Israel, the town will be ”vacant” at that time so midday was proposed by the Israeli side. The game will be broadcasted in different countries but not in Greece.
