Special guards of the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.) have symbolically occupied Lycabettus by hanging a banner protesting against the cuts in their wages.
The huge banner hanging down the slope of Lycabettus bears the slogan “ELAS mourns. Payment day-Mourning day”.
Representatives of the union claimed at TV media that special guards cannot survive because of the financial measures and the cuts of their wages by the government.
The Union announced they will continue their mobilizations. Tomorrow, the Union has scheduled a protest rally outside the Parliament at 6 p.m.
