Employees of the Ecumenical Patriarchate Unpaid for Three Months

People working in the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople including priests of all ranks, secretaries, and members of all sectors have not been paid for the past three months. According to employees of the Patriarchate, their wages have not been paid since June, while Athens has reassured them that the money has been sent to the administration of Fanari.
Besides the significant funding of the Patriarchate by the Greek government, there is also the so called Logia (financial contribution) which is paid by member churches abroad, such as the Archdiocese of America, the Metropolis of Canada, the Archdiocese of Australia etc.
Financial administration matters are in the hands of the Patriarch himself while a committee plays a subsidiary role.
It has not been clarified yet whether the one responsible for this delay in payments is the Greek government or His All Holiness Bartholomew and the financial committee of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
