French Companies Eye Greek State Asset Sales

Several French companies are interested in Greeceā€™s state-asset sale program and pending state contracts, Ta Nea reported, without citing anyone.
Francaise des Jeux wants to bid for licences to operate state lotteries and to extend the EuroMillions game to Greece while Gie Pari Mutuel Urbain wants to buy state-owned horse- betting and racing operator ODIE, the Athens-based newspaper reported today.
GDF Suez (GSZ) SA plans to buy government stakes in Athens Water & Sewage Co. SA and Thessaloniki Water & Sewage Co. SA while Vinci SA (DG) is interested in concessions to operate the Egnatia Odos motorway and regional airports as well as to build new motorways and a new airport on the island of Crete, Ta Nea reported.
