Local residents and the municipality of Messolonghi decided to establish a food bank to face the multiple cases of students almost fainting due to hunger.
The idea was introduced a few days ago, when the son of the town’s mayor told his father that 5 of his fellow students had almost collapsed due to lack of food.
This food bank will be financially supported by the municipality, the town’s social service convenience store as well as by everyone willing to help their fellow citizens in need.
