EU Decision Political Handling Still A Puzzle

The Greek government is engaged in exercises on paper for the political handling of the upcoming EU decision, seeking allies in the opposition, but fails –until now- to find any.
The government made it clear that it would seek to pass the approval of the agreement by simple majority of 151 votes (instead of 180) for two reasons.
First, it would admit that sovereignty is transferred, while early polls would occur if the opposition insisted on “no”.
Both Administrative Reform Minister Dimitris Reppas and government spokesman Elias Mosialos confirmed that Greece would seek a simple majority of 151 MPs.
Major opposition party New Democracy said that if targets are achievable, then a positive vote would not be unlikely. But, ND leader insists that he will not sign any transfer of sovereignty, regardless the needed majority.
Right-wing party LAOS made it clear that it would vote against any agreement, as the government seems unable to implement it, and called early election “patriotic duty”.
Government MPs do not guarantee that a “bad” agreement would pass with their votes. Therefore, most of them call for majority of 180 votes to force ND to consent, or emergency government, or anything that could get them out of the impasse (even elections).
Greek FinMin revived the argument of 180 votes, a move that has been interpreted as desire to escape from bleak future.
Democratic Alliance directly asked for increased majority of 180 votes, while left parties KKE, SYRIZA and Democratic Left expressed their opposition.
